Low Steppa a champion of the UK bass house scene and prominent label founder of Simma Black shares five explosive tracks.
Low Steppa has been an outstanding figure in the bass house genre for several years. It can be said that this new style of house has become a prominent force in electronic music, to the point that, especially in the UK, it’s difficult to imagine a time when low-end wobbles and hard-hitting drops weren’t a feature of the scene. During its explosion in popularity, there have been a select number of labels and artists who have been front and centre of the movement, and none more so than Simma Black and Low Steppa.
Low Steppa has provided five tracks with a strong backbone that have proven to be massively effective on dance floors throughout the land, he’s also recently been working on a track called ‘Karma’; a fitting record for his Simma Black imprint (100th release). It encapsulates much of what has made the label so popular over the last four years and it also hints towards an exciting and subtle gearshift for Low Steppa. Listen to the selections and read what the man of the moment had to say about them. ‘Karma‘ is available via Simma Black from 14th August.
