Following on from his recent EP release on Snatch! Records, we invited Flashmob to share five tracks he’s enjoying at the moment.
Established DJ and producer Alessandro Magini, the man behind the Flashmob alias has dropped by to provide us with five stand out tracks he’s been using in his sets. In just five years Flashmob has firmly stamped itself onto the international dance music circuit and is a name that’s held in high regard by a deluge of artists and labels. His work, both in original and remix form can be found on prestigious labels like Get Physical, Defected and most recently Snatch! Records. Some great personal sentiment attached with this feature as we caught Flashmob playing out in an intimate setting a few years back and it’s an evening we won’t be forgetting for a long time.
The Italian’s latest EP titled ‘Ease The Pain‘ was released on Riva Starr’s imprint over the weekend and it certainly is a great way to cap off a stellar year; arriving in the form of an impressive two-track offering, it provides a decent taster for what we can expect from Flashmob in 2018.

1. Alaia & Gallo – Gomorra [Flashmob Records]
“What can I say?! I’ve been a huge fan of the Gomorra series on SKY and when I heard the first version of the Edit the boys did (played by Albertino on Radio DJ Italy) I immediately thought it was epic. I then asked the boys if they were up for doing a proper version of it so we replayed all the parts and finally they came up with this new incredible touching track.”
“I have played this at a number of festivals last summer and at Boardmasters, for instance, it was one of those unforgettable moments for me with the break of this track so well done to Alaia & Gallo!“
2. Patrick Topping – Be Sharp, Say Nowt [Hot Creations]
“I instantly fell in love with this proper House music bomb, it just puts you in the mood to play a proper party. I’m really loving all the vocal lines and the rhythm progression built around the vocals following under, it’s pure energy. Well done Paddy!”
3. Fetish – Bubble Trouble [International DeeJay Gigolo Records]
“This one comes from Fetish (a side project of the legendary Berlin based Kompakt artist Terranova) on DJ Hell’s label Gigolo. I just love the incredible world this track drives you in, it’a very particular moment of the night or early morning when you sort of get lost and there it is, the bubbles come in . This is part of an EP called ’Mindshaft’ for a reason.”
4. Tucci – Love Me Escape (Marco Clock Remix) [Flashmob Records]
“This one was released on my label Flashmob records and, as you can see, it’s on Marco Carola’s YouTube channel now. He started playing it in Ibiza this summer and I perfectly understand why.”
“I play this a lot in all my sets and it’s a big festival tune. The party atmosphere that comes from the hole drum line really puts me in the mood, so well done to my A&R Marco Clock and thanks to Marco Carola for supporting it so much.”
5. M.A.N.D.Y. – Jah [Get Physical Music]
“I find this to be one of my all time favourites. I remember playing this over and over again and I have now been given the chance to do an official remix of it. The sexual tension of it and how the flow evolves is just fantastic. It never leaves you and it’s always sounding new. A work of art.”
